A body-centred approach to healing

I first came to yoga when I was pregnant with my first child in 2000. Yoga prepared me for birth and gave me a sense of peace I had been looking for my whole life. I began teaching yoga in 2009 and in 2010 I created Illuminate Yoga in Sydney's south-west. Here I specialised in prenatal and postnatal yoga, yin yoga, Insight Meditation, trauma-aware yoga, and yoga for addiction recovery.

I have taught yoga in public classes, at festivals, in workplaces and treatment centres. My approach emphasises the connection between the body and the mind. It incorporates movement, breathwork, awareness, meditation and other somatic experiences to release stored stress and cultivate relaxation and presence.

I teach weekly classes on Thursday nights at Pilates by VDS.
